Toowoomba Colourful Tree in November 1

I woke up at around 5am in the morning that day, and with my ex-housemate, we went to take photo from Baker St. to West St.,  to the Uni, then to the Japanese Garden using our bike.  I still remember we have to park our bike outside the Japanese Garden.

“5 years or 1828 days are just like a blink of an eye.

We still can recall, imagine and feel,
the beautiful purple flower petals
showered the foot path,
creating a fantastic and comfortable view,
for everybody who go to the Japanese Garden,
for everybody who walk on the street.

That’s the place that we will visit again,
at the same place, in the same season.”

Toowoomba Colourful Tree in November 2
I always check the time on my camera to make sure it is accurate.  I was 5:53am in the morning.  I was at West St. taking the picture of this purple-flowered tree.

The air in the morning was still a bit cold, even though the spring is nearly to the end and the summer is on the way coming.  It was November 2002.

My ex-housemate and I were on the Baker St. cycling and stop and cycling and stop. so that I could take the picture of these amazing trees.  I want to thank him for accompanying me such early in the morning to go everywhere to take photo.

Red-Flowered Tree.

This tree is located in front of the recreation center of USQ at Baker St.  The colour is as red as an apple.  How nice if this type of tree were can be seen in Malaysia.  Now I can only see it from the photo.

Can someone in Toowoomba please tell me how are these trees look like now?  I miss them a lot.  Please also tell me the name of these tree, I wrote their name somewhere before and lost it.
