We went for a 2-days-1-night trip to Miri last weekend. It was quite a rush and we didn’t visit many places because the main purpose we were there was to do some religious stuffs which we had spent our first day there. We thought we only have 25.5 hours in Miri (reached Miri at about 10:35am on Saturday, left Miri at 11:05am on Sunday), but later it extended to more than 30 hours because our flight was delayed until 4pm.
We only had started to visit places of interest in Miri on the second morning. The first place we went before we took our breakfast was the beach. It is called The Esplanade Beach if I’m not mistaken.

Facing the sea, and viewing to the left.

Facing the sea, and viewing to the right.

Two visitors were enjoying the Mother Nature.

There were foot steps on the white coloured sand.

The waves was quite calm, not very high (about 1 feet only), but it was continuous. And I believe the waves have started non-stop since at least thousands years ago and give birth to the stones, white sand and sea shells on the beach. It was giving me a message that we should take a step at a time to accomplish our mission. Although our steps may be small, it is our persistent that counts. We will soon see the results of our efforts, and we let the time proves it.

There is a house that looks like a palace located on the other side of the sea.

We have taken the photo of our own shadows on this beach. We did not step on the sand, because we might have made our friend’s car dirty later, therefore we didn’t leave the footsteps on the beach, but we left our shadows on the beach as a memory.

This is our group photo. Two of them drove from Limbang to meet us, and one of them was waiting for us at Miri. Thank you my friends for the transport, accommodation and everything. On the front row, the first on the left is the blogger called Wilson Chin.
While looking at the sea, our minds are opened and relax. From our eyes, we can see that the sea is unlimitedly wide; it also extends the distance that our mind can reach which it is also unlimited. We may reach the solution that we have been waiting for. So if you have free time, why not go to the see the sea and open up your mind. It’s a good place to relax our mind because we can get the sound of the wave continuously which is also giving us encouragement to continue the journey to get what we want in our life just like what the waves have done to create a beautiful beach.

Thanks for your comment, you are right.
You are not cheated by the first picture.
It is method called “cropping by zooming” (pre-shooting) used on the first pictures. Although by theory when we take a scenery photo, we usually use wide angle. But we can enhance the picture by not using the widest focal length something.
Whereas for the rest of the beach pictures I used widest angle so that I can capture everything and show the width of the beach, but it doesn’t create a beauty effect.
Therefore, we should not be cheated by the pictures given by the travel agent.
An experienced photographer can turn something ugly to become beautiful. A picture can roughly tell you how it looks like, but it may not tell you the truth.
nice photos
Thanks Manmandar.
