We went to the Canada Hill after taking our breakfast. The Petroleum Science Museum was situated on top of the hill. According to my friends, the museum is only opened at night time; therefore we did not enter the museum. We just took photo outside the museum and view the Miri scenery from the hill.

There is a very high monument in front of the museum. It is called the Grand Old Lady which is the oldest oil well in Malaysia drilled by cable tool method. It is more than 100 years old.

There are four stone humans pushing the drill.

Wilson gave me an idea to take the picture of the oil well tower from inside of the tower itself.

Is this another oil well?

This statue looks like the giant molecules of the oil.

There are carved stones to illustration the history of the oil well.

We can see a lot of building in Miri city from the Canada Hill.

Let’s zoom in a bit.

This is the other side of the museum building.

We found that the windows of the musuem has reflection, and we used it to take the picture of ourselves.

We found a bug on Canada Hill. It’s still alive.
We will choose a good time to visit here next time. Not in a rush so that we can enter the museum and see what’s inside.
