ColinJong.com has been up and down since it was born. The web hosting company has 99% percent uptime guarantee written on its homepage, but I can hardly believe it now. I do not want to mention the name of the web hosting company; you can find it out yourselves. It has a 24/7 support ticketing system but not its staffs. My website was down in the middle of last night due to server hang while they were performing daily backup. They can actually solve the problem by just rebooting the server but it was only done at 10 am this morning.

I cannot find even a word of sorry from any one of their replies although I was not expecting it. I just discovered it now when I want to express my feeling.

I choose to forgive them although my heart is still on fire now. I understand that machines can run 24/7 but not human. But I will reserve my right to move to a new home. There are still a few months to go before I make my decision.

You may ask how it affected me since this is only a low traffic website. If you are a blogger, when you see your visitor number is 0 (zero), you will know what is the feeling. It happened to ColinJong.com a month ago when they replace their server’s hard disk.

Anger is not good for health. I am not angry now after expressing my feeling. You also do not have to be angry after listening to my story. What we can learn is that we should choose a web hosting company carefully.
