Recently, we caught some pictures of the orange stranger’s paw and decided to write about it. Cats uses their paws for quite some purposes such as standing, walking, balancing, running, fighting and catching prey using their retractable claws, bury their daily secretion and much more. However, she was injured a while ago and was only walking around with three legs. And such a coincidence, we came across quite a few cats and dogs that live a bit differently than others.
I read about a dog called Faith which does not have its two fore legs. However, she was lucky to have a wonderful owner who does not give up hope on her but has trained her how to live like any other normal dogs instead.

Then, I saw a cat without two of her hind feet when I was watching a programme about pets the other day. Her owner has to make her a cotton pouch to wrap her bottom. They didn’t mention much about this in the programme but I guess it is to protect her bottom from being hurt because I can see that she has to drag her bottom a little bit when she walks as she only has her fore feet to support her. And the owner added that she has to help her with her daily excretion because the cat isn’t able to do it on her own.

And last week, we went to a friend’s house and saw his three legged dog. Sometimes, I can’t stop wondering if these handicapped animals know about their condition. What are their feelings?
They showed strong spirits to struggle and move on with their lives despite their condition or sometimes for the unfortunate ones, being abandoned. Of course, more help and care will surely make their lives much more different like the animals mentioned above. They are just living beings the same as we are except in a different form or body. They do have feelings too. If these animals have the courage and strength to walk on the difficult path, I think we should always remind ourselves not to give up so easily.
