Another short update to tell you that we have had a wonderful mid-autumn festival (moon cake festival).  Our friends from Penang came to visit us and we brought them around Kuching.  We wake up very early in the morning everyday since last week for our morning prayer at the vihara together with our Penang friends.

Before the moon cake festival, our vihara group member went to a hospital for sharing the happiness of the festival with the unfortunate.  We let them play lantern.  Some of the Chinese old man refuse to play, but most of them enjoy it.  Some of them experienced playing lantern for the first time because they are not Chinese.  They enjoyed it very much.

Have you ever ask yourself a question, are we too old to play lantern?  One of our friends like to play kids toys, of course, she won’t miss to play the lantern.  I see her enjoyed very much.  Actually I like to play too.  :p  Therefore, I don’t think we are too old to play the lantern.

Our Penang friends will be going back this evening.  I am sure they enjoyed this Kuching trip joyfully.  They are going to carry few kg of Paku and Bidin (local vegetable growing in the wild) back to Penang.  Amazing.

I like moon cake festival because of the beautiful lanterns.  But it still one more year to go for the next moon cake festival.  Although it was five days ago, but the stories is not ended yet… …
