This is a special dictionary for me. It is 20 years old now. It is a gift from my primary 3 form-teacher right before she retired 20 years ago.
The poor dictionary is crumbled now.
It is broken into 2 pieces.
But, I will never throw it away. I will keep it forever.
Dear Teacher Huang
You were my form-teacher from primary 1 to primary 3
You taught me a lot of basic thing
You taught me Chinese, Math, Physical Education etc…
which is useful and important for my whole life
And I will never be able to pay you back
I would like to thank you from the deepest of my heart
Thank you my dear Teacher Huang
I am sorry about the condition of the dictionary now
But I will always remember you
when I see the dictionary
I have lost your contact since you left school
May be you had forgotten me
Since you may have thousands of students
I still hope that there is one day… …
I can meet you again… …
P.S. Also to all the teachers that have taught me in kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, college and university, I hope to see you all too someday…

Hahaha… You also has this dictionary, it was a popular dictionary 2 decades ago. Now I recall my primary 4 - 6 teachers taught us how to use this dictionary and we always had competition to see who found the word first. I was one of the fast word searcher in class.
I found the new version of this dictionary in book store, but the cover is different already.
yeah our school teacher also taught us using the dictionary. I think nowadays the kids no need to use this type dictionary they prefer use electronic dictionary.this type of dictionary is out-dated. LOL.. we are grateful because we still have lots fun using dictionary..
LOL… SiewPeng also got electronic dictionary. We are in between actually. There was an even older type of dictionary where we need to used “SiJiaoHaoMa” (Four Corner Number) to search the Chinese word, I didn’t learn that. Did you learn that?
LOL… I wonder if nowadays kid ruin the electronic dictionary like what happen to my dictionary, how will it look like? :p Maybe we can see the key pad, LCD and screws here and there. It’s terrible to see an electronic dictionary break into 2 pieces.
