In Chinese, “Fu4″ means Rich, “Kui4″ means honour, “Fu4Kui4″ put together means prosperity, and “Hua1″ means flower.
If you want to make this plant into a Bonsai, it’s better to plant it from seed, because the root will become swollen caudex which is excellent for a Bonsai. I have a pot of Flower of Prosperity with swollen caudex root. I will show it after its leaves have grown properly.
The plant exudes a highly toxic sap which is used by some peoples, such as the Akie in Tanzania, to coat arrow-tips for hunting.

I am not sure the flower itself is poisonous, but the latex from the branch is poisonous. Anyway, nobody is going to eat the flowers I think :p, except chrysanthemum which can be used to make tea.
Yes, the white colour one is more unique and it grows slower than other variety.

-> Cindy, with the same Chinese name of this flower (”FuGuiHua”) which we call in Malaysia, it may refer to other flower in your country. As I know, the “FuGuiHua” in China or Taiwan refer to other flower.
