Sam Poh Tong Part 3 - Hidden Garden 01

This is another section of Sam Poh Tong.  We can only reach here by going into the temple (in the cave), walking through a short tunnel and to get out from another mouth of the cave.  This garden is located right outside the inner cave mouth because we can see the sky.  However we cannot get out of Sam Poh Tong from here without going back through the tunnel because this area is surrounded by tall cliffs and the tunnel is the only way, unless we use a helicopter to move ourselves across the mountain.  Can you imagine what I am talking about?  While I was there, I have a feeling of I have been hidden from the outside world.

The red building was locked and we cannot go in to have a visit.  This building is exactly facing the big tortoises’ home.

-  This is what we saw when looking up the sky vertically.  We were surrounded by three sides of tall cliffs.  The area of the sky that we can see is limited.

I wonder if it is possible to climb up the cliffs and see what are happening on the other side of these cliffs.  May be I can see the pamelo stalls.

-  One of the tree on the cliff has new leaves in red colour.

-  Should I call it a “Red Cliff”?  :p  I haven’t watch that movie and not sure about the story at all.

You may find that this garden is boring, it is not only boring but extremely quiet too.  However there are tortoises somewhere around here which I haven’t show you.

Boring again?  May be these photos are not nice enough.  Look carefully on the last three pictures.  There are white colour reflection of sunlight on the leaves surface which make the pictures imperfect.  I need a polarizing filter to be attached to my camera.  It can remove the unwanted reflection.

I have a 58mm polarizer actually, but my camera lenses has an non-standard 52 or 51.5 mm filter thread.  I am actually looking for a step up ring for my camera to allow me to attach the 58mm filter, but I can’t find it in Kuching.  I am using Canon Powershot SX1 IS.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
