My sister gave us a bracelet each before she took off to Perth to further her studies. The bracelet is specialy made with customized wordings on it. The words are our names. Mine has a dog’s paw next to the alphabet G. These are not just ordinary gifts because they are very meaningful to us. It is something carefully chosen and not just a pick at random from the shelves. The bracelets are light in weight but heavy in the sense of the thoughts involved when they are made.

Every single bit of the bracelet was taken into great consideration before it became the final product. My sister knows I like adorable stuff so she has chosen a cute looking font for the wordings with an additional dog’s paw shape. And the blue strap is just a perfect match! She also knows that Colin would like something more plain and natural so she has bought that for him instead of a fancy one.

These bracelets are very special because they represent us. And when I say they represent us, it doesn’t mean because they have our names on them. Yes, that is part of it but each of them has a very deep meaning and a feeling that is really difficult to express using words. When I see the bracelet, I miss my sister. But when I know she is doing fine and working hard for her future, I feel very happy for her because she is persuing what she is aiming for. Looking at this special gift, I am reminded to always treasure the people around me. And even though I feel devastated when I miss her, I’ll feel better when I look at it. It looks nice, stylish and goes well with all the clothings that I usually wear. She has made a good choice indeed. Haha…

It is not easy to choose a gift, especially a gift that you want to be certained that the other person will like and appreciate. I think she must have spent the whole day at that shop. And from the final product, I can sense the considerations taken and the thoughts deep down her heart when she was standing in front of those million choices, trying to make the best decision.
