One of the most important highlights of the Hari Malaysia (Malaysia Day) events were the cultural dances. This year the organizer has made arrangement for 3 dances from 3 main regions in Malaysia - Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.

Beautiful ladies in their traditional costumes were performing their beautiful traditional dance.

Zooming while shooting… … … … It is done in Photoshop. :p

How many colours are there on their costume? Red / orange, pink, yellow, blue, white, light green, black …
Let me show you the video, may be you can tell me the name of this dance. The MC has mentioned about its name but we have forgotten.
Switch on your speaker so that you can listen to the music.

Turning the camera horizontally and vertically while shooting. … … … Again, done in photoshop. :p

This lady did not dance on the stage but stood on the red carpet which was connecting the VIP area to the stage in the middle of the field. She was so close to us, 90 degree on our right hand side. She moved forward so that the VIPs could see her dance clearer.

They wore special-shaped hat, and they had long finger nails.
Basically what I know about this dance is almost zero, so let’s enjoy looking at the photo below:-

They were full of actions. Were they fighting or doing something?

They were moving left and right across the stage, my camera lenses were also following their action. The world is like turning.

What was he holding?

The movement of hands while dancing.

The dance ended with all of the dancer raising up their arms to shoulder level.

I have taken some more photos which I found that I should put them in a slideshow so that you can see their action. Check it out on the video above!!!

Later, there were two singers appeared and sang the songs. The dancers were still on the stage continued dancing, until the song ended.

Hope you enjoy!!!
Next, the dance from Sarawak during the Malaysia Day celebration will be coming soon.
