The street light did not pass through the leaves but drew the orange colour outlines on the leaves and branches. Yes, I have used backlighting again.

It gives a mysterious feeling because only the outline can be seen, and it is almost totally dark, except the small section of light from the lamp post.

This effect can usually be seen in movies or dramas where mysterious people or object is going to appear, but let the audiences imagine how it looks like.

From the National Geographic channel or other documentaries, I have also seen this effect where a wolf outline were drawn by the light of the moon. The moon was usually as big as the wolf.
What would you feel when you see this type of images? The pictures above (especially the first picture) give me a feeling of walking into a hidden village at a very far corner on the earth. A group of villagers made up of a tribe is having a gathering and surrounding a camp fire. They have their own unique culture which is unknown to the rest in this world. And their clothings might be made up of small leaves. - Just my imagination.

These leaves are actually my father’s Bonsai. There are two lamp posts next to my house, I have used them as a light source.

I took the photos of other leaves under the street light as well.

These are the leaves of another bonsai owned by my father. The leaves did not cover the light completely. The leaves are thickly grown, but no matter how I have changed the angle of shooting, the light could still get through.

This is my unfertilized plant. They look tall but they are extremely thin.
Tell me what do you think about these pictures and I hope you like these pictures. :)
