Weak Papaya Tree 01

This is a poor papaya tree with only one or two small leaves left on its trunk.

Weeks ago, it was still healthy …

Weak Papaya Tree 02

Days ago, it still had another bigger piece of palm-shaped leaf, but the  next day after I took this photo, it dropped.

This is one of the papaya trees planted in my garden.  Usually, the papaya trees in my garden seldom produce fruits.  There are 3 possibilities:-

1.  The tree grows healthy and produces fruits, but the fruits were all eaten by dozens of birds, then the tree becomes rotten and collapsed.

2.  The tree grows healthy at first, but before it produces any fruit, it rots and all its leaves drop.

3.  The tree did not grow well from the beginning and remained having a very thin trunk, later it is usually being removed when we cut the grass in our garden.

The main reason is because the good soil in our garden is not deep enough and not well drained underground.  Any plants with deep roots would grow healthy in the early stage, but later it will suddenly get sick.  And I know its root has reached the maximum depth.

I hope I can have a piece of land where I can plant all types of local fruits.
