I was surprised and happy because I found that this opening tune for a local radio station is still exist. I have been missing it for long time. I recorded it this morning so I can listen to it anytime. :P
It has been a long time since I last tuned in to this local radio station before 6am. I thought the radio station won’t play it again because I sometimes find that after 12 midnight, the frequencies were used by other stations, and it seems like it is broadcasting 24 hours, and there might not have opening and closing for the station.
I am not sure what time they usually start playing the long “tuu”… … … … (1 khz sine wave test tone), about a minute before 6am sharp, the test tone stops and comes the sape opening tune before the 6am time signal and national anthem as the opening.
Listening to this sape opening tune was one of my hobbies when I was a kid at least 15 years ago. I always did it especially on a Sunday morning, until my old radio spoiled. At that time, there was not FM station but only AM and SW bands.
However, this sape tune is a newer version which is similar but a bit faster and shorter compared to the older version. I hope I can listen to the older version again.

** As you may already know, Sape is a special type of musical instrument of Orang Ulu in Sarawak, Malaysia. It is similar to guitar, but the sound it produces is really special.
