Luckily I took its photo during noon time, it was gone in the evening when I try to find it again because it has been removed by my mother who also loves gardening.

Days later, I found the other leaves which were also dotted.

I am not sure if it is unhealthy or it is just the life cycle of a water lily leaf. Hope more leaves will grow soon and bloom beautifully.
If we keep our body healthy, sickness is not part of our life cycle.

This is the most special sponge we have ever seen. It is made of the fruit of a type of vines called Luffa or Petola (in local language).

This fruit is edible if harvested before maturity. It can be turned into bath / kitchen sponge when we let it mature, dry and leave only the network of its xylem / fiber.

The petola has about the size of a papaya, some are bigger and some are smaller.

When it is completely dried, it really looks like the sponge we use in the kitchen. It can be cut into smaller pieces to be used as a bath scrub as well.

The seeds have been removed, and I believe that the fruit has been cleaned thoroughly.

However when we bought it, we could still find 1 or 2 seeds in each fruit.
This sponge is really amazing. It is the most natural sponge we have ever seen. Actually, there are many things which we use daily that can be found in the nature too. For example, we can use a leave as a piece of paper. But to make it durable and convenient might be very challenging.

Mung bean was the common thing in our secondary / high school biology class as the experiment subject in the lab sessions.
Now, it has become one of my favorite objects to shoot at with my camera.
Look at its shiny hairs on the branch, done with the back / side lighting effect.

It is Monday again.
Last month until earlier this month, I worked like a bee from sunrise until sunset. In the coming weeks, I will be working like an ant. I will start working before the sun rises and until late evening when the stars appear.
My working hours:- 5:30 am - 7 or 9pm with short lunch break.
Just hope that I can finish the projects on hand ASAP.

Living in a quiet residential area in the middle of a large city, with polluted water and air. We choose not to get a car because Colin can wake up 30 minutes before office hour, gets ready and walks to his office. We are still looking for natural elements in the concrete jungle ... as a nature-lover couple ... |
