I rewarded myself after getting my salary by working in a farm with this graphic tablet. I use it as a mouse basically. It’s more efficient than a mouse, because it allows me to move the cursor from one corner to another corner on the monitor extremely fast. I use it to edit pictures sometimes, and play games as well. I always get higher score when I play games with this tablet. The pen is codeless, it can even detect the pressure when you push the pen towards the tablet. It seems that this tablet is not as simple as a mouse. It has more functions and features than a mouse.

However, I am still using this simple mobile phone - Nokia 3310. Does it look funny? It is extremely simple. It does not even have build-in memory and the phone book can only be stored in the SIM card. The only strong feature that it has compared to the other mobile is its durability. I use it for making calls and SMS only. Now, I have to write new phone number somewhere else, because the phone book in my SIM card is fulled. There is no infra-red, bluetooth, colour screen, polyphonic ringtones, wifi, camera, GPRS, 3G… … Any feature you can mention, most of them cannot be found on this mobile phone.

You may ask why I’m still using this mobile phone, and my answer will be because of its durability. I have dropped it so many times, and until now it still works properly. There are other features that can be found in a “modern” mobile phone such as

• connecting to the internet? I prefer to use my notebook;
• taking photos? I prefer to use my camera.
• FM, mp3, mp4? I prefer to use my mp4 player.

May be I will get a new mobile phone in the future, but not now because all the features I need on a phone now is to make call and SMS only. Simple? (shhh… some people don’t even know how to use SMS.) :p

I don’t have to get a new phone, just like most of you do not use a graphic tablet. Logically and rationally, it depends on our needs. There are many type of “needs”. Some people “need” something because they really “need” to use the feature that makes their life easier, but some people “need” something because they want to follow the new trend, some people like to try new things, some people blindly follow their friends, and some people “need” something just to show off.

Another word, a new product that comes with any special features, no matter it is really used by its owner, it can fulfill the different “needs” that required by the owner.
